Christmas Cops Toy Drive at Huffines Chevrolet Plano

Tis the season for giving and Huffines Chevrolet Plano and the Plano Police are making it easy for us to give back to our community, and we are proud to be one of the locations taking donations for the Christmas Cops Toy Drive!

Christmas Cops started in 1984 with a few Plano police officers serving a few families in need and it has grown to more than 280 families, 800 children, and over 1,200 total people served each year.

“The first officers recognized a need in Plano to help people at Christmas, and they got together and did it,” said retired Plano Police Department Captain and Christmas Cops Coordinator Harry Manning.  “From those humble beginnings, we’ve grown to become a mainstay of helping people at Christmas and have been blessed with tremendous community support.  Our program strives to serve those who have no other means of providing Christmas for their children.  Each of our families is referred to the program by a Plano police employee who has encountered the family through their daily assignments at Plano PD.”
